IDF: Attacks continue, intensity will increase
Tel Aviv, March 2 (Hibya) - Major General Rafi Milo, Head of the Northern Command of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), stated that Hezbollah chose the Iranian regime over the Lebanese state and attacked Israeli citizens.
The Israel Defense Forces shared details of the operation following the first wave of strikes carried out across Lebanon. Northern Command Head Major General Rafi Milo made statements regarding military movements in the region and the latest situation on the border.
Major General Milo said that Hezbollah’s attacks were met with a response: "Hezbollah chose the Iranian regime rather than the Lebanese state and attacked our citizens. We were prepared for this and they will pay a heavy price. We are ready for both defense and offense. My message to the residents of the north is this: We will continue to protect you from the front. We have significantly increased our force deployment along the border and are ready to receive additional forces. We will not be pushed back."
In the IDF briefing regarding the scope of the operation, the following information was provided:
"Immediately after Hezbollah opened fire, and as planned, we launched the first large-scale wave of attacks targeting the organization’s senior figures, headquarters, and terrorist infrastructure in Beirut and southern Lebanon."
