Israel responds to UNRWA: You are not telling the truth
Jerusalem, August 26 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Oren Marmorstein criticized UNRWA’s statements regarding a facility in East Jerusalem, claiming that the agency has no ownership rights over the facility and is using it unlawfully.
Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Marmorstein responded on social media to UNRWA’s statements regarding a facility in East Jerusalem.
Marmorstein argued that UNRWA has no ownership rights over the facility and is "occupying it unlawfully."
Marmorstein said the facility in question is planned to be used as a school and community center for Arab children in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood, claiming that UNRWA prefers to "launch baseless attacks against Israel" rather than act in the interests of children in Kafr Aqab.
Marmorstein claimed there was "conclusive evidence that UNRWA employees participated in the October 7 massacre, that some employees operated as members of terrorist organizations, and that UNRWA facilities were systematically used for terrorist activities."
The Israeli official said UNRWA’s activities in Israel had been banned for these reasons, arguing that all actions taken by Israel were in accordance with Israeli and international law.
