Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Qadi met in Amman with Qatar’s Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani.

According to a statement by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting reviewed cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal and historical ties connecting Qatar and Jordan.

Qadi said the Jordanian House of Representatives would continue its efforts to develop inter-parliamentary relations with Qatar’s Shura Council. In this context, the importance of strengthening communication, consultation, and the exchange of experiences and views on issues of mutual interest was highlighted.

Qatari Ambassador Al-Thani, meanwhile, expressed commitment to developing bilateral relations between the two countries and enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation. The ambassador also expressed appreciation for the role of the Jordanian House of Representatives in regional and international parliamentary platforms.

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Khamis Atieh and Chairman of the Jordan-Qatar Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Committee Abdulrauf Rbiehat.
