Jerusalem, August 26 (Hibya) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on settlement activities in the West Bank during a speech at the annual event of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. Netanyahu said that 104 settlements had been established and formalized under his government, along with 160 farms.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu, attended the annual event of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council, where settlement and development activities in the West Bank were discussed.
Speaking at the event, Netanyahu outlined his government's work on settlement activities in the West Bank. Netanyahu said, “We established and formalized 104 communities, and in addition there are 160 farms, with more to come.”
Netanyahu said the efforts had been carried out under both the previous and current US administrations, adding, “The achievement of this government is the effort to realize the vision of generations.”
The Israeli Prime Minister also addressed the security situation in the region. Netanyahu said they were working against threats originating from the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Syria, and that they were also determined to take measures against potential threats from Iran.
Netanyahu also referred to his meeting with US President Trump at the White House several weeks ago, saying that three options regarding Iran had been discussed: an agreement, a military operation and tightening sanctions. Netanyahu said Trump had taken steps to increase pressure on those supporting Iran.
Netanyahu said, “The Iran issue is not over yet; we need to bring this matter to an end.” He added that they also faced challenges in Gaza, Lebanon and other areas and would continue their efforts in those fields.
