Italy’s Prime Minister Meloni commemorates General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa
Rome, September 3 (Hibya) – Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni issued a commemorative message for General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, who was killed by the Sicilian Mafia in the Via Carini massacre.
Meloni paid tribute to General Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, who was killed on September 3, 1982, together with his wife Emanuela Setti Carraro and his bodyguard Domenico Russo in the Via Carini massacre carried out by the Sicilian Mafia.
She described dalla Chiesa as a courageous statesman with deep moral values who gave his life in the fight against organized crime, stating: “Their memory will always live in our hearts and guide our every action.”
