Jetten: It is our duty to invest energetically in Europe's future
Amsterdam, August 27 (Hibya) - Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten took part in an online meeting with his European counterparts on the European Union's (EU) modern and ambitious multiannual budget.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten announced that he participated in an online meeting with his European counterparts regarding the European Union's (EU) multiannual budget for the upcoming period.
Jetten said the meeting addressed the importance of investing in an innovative and green economy, an effective migration and asylum policy, and Europe's common security.
Stating that the world is changing rapidly and that this presents opportunities to make Europe stronger, more agile and more sustainable, Jetten said the budget should be cost-effective and every euro should be directed toward the priorities of the future.
Jetten said they would enter the budget negotiations with confidence in the coming months, adding that their goal is to reach a comprehensive agreement for a strong, secure and prosperous Europe.
