Lahbib: Attack on hospital in Kabul is a clear violation of international law
Brussels, March 17 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib condemned the targeting of a rehabilitation hospital in Kabul and called on the parties for an immediate ceasefire and dialogue.
European Commissioner Hadja Lahbib made a statement regarding the attack on a healthcare facility in Kabul.
Highlighting the legal dimension of the attack, Lahbib said: "Last night's attack on the rehabilitation hospital in Kabul is a clear violation of international humanitarian law. Healthcare facilities must be protected and must not be targeted."
Emphasizing the need to stop violence in the region, Lahbib added: "We urgently call for de-escalation and restraint, and we demand an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of dialogue."
