European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib said they held an important and constructive meeting with the organizers of the Budapest Pride March, stressing that the EU stands firmly behind its values.

Speaking about the meeting, Lahbib said, “We had an important and constructive meeting with the organizers of the Budapest Pride March. We discussed the progress made by the LGBTIQ+ community and the challenges it still faces.”

Highlighting the European Union’s support and core principles, Lahbib stated, “The EU stands behind its values. The EU stands with you.”
