Lahbib: Rebuilding hope in Gaza begins with unimpeded access and effective delivery
Brussels, November 5 (Hibya) – European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that rebuilding hope in Gaza begins with unimpeded access and effective delivery of aid.
Lahbib emphasized that rebuilding hope in Gaza starts with ensuring free access and efficient delivery of humanitarian assistance.
Citing data from the United Nations satellite analysis unit UNOSAT, she noted that 81 percent of Gaza’s structures have been damaged, 123,464 buildings were completely destroyed, and more than 1.5 million people are in urgent need of shelter.
Lahbib added that the EU and its international partners are ready to respond to this humanitarian crisis.
