Lazzarini: Guterres calls for protecting the only path to lasting peace
New York, February 17 (Hibya) – UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for protecting the only path to lasting peace, namely a negotiated two-state solution in line with international law.
Lazzarini stated that accelerating the dispossession of Palestinians and expanding Israeli settlements will do nothing to bring the long-needed stability and peace to the region.
He added that Guterres has urged Israel to reverse these measures and has called on everyone to protect the only path to lasting peace, a negotiated two-state solution in accordance with international law.
