New York, January 2 (Hibya) – UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said he agrees with the statement of the IASC principals.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that he agrees with the statement of the IASC principals, noting that Israel’s new restrictions on international NGOs further jeopardize humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip.
Lazzarini said in his statement: “These measures come at a time when people in Gaza need even more assistance to survive. They also undermine efforts to help people affected by record levels of violence in the West Bank.”
