Paris, 15 November (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the agreement signed in Doha between the Democratic Republic of Congo and the M23 movement.

He emphasized that after so much suffering, this step opens a genuine door to peace and offers a light of hope for everyone. “I thank all parties for their constructive approach, and Qatar for its decisive role,” he said.
Macron stated that France will continue to work for peace, stability, and the support of peoples, in line with the spirit of the Great Lakes Conference held last October in Paris.
