Saar stated that he had spoken with Jamaica’s Foreign Minister Kamina J. Smith regarding Hurricane Melissa, which struck the country.

He noted that they discussed the work of the Israeli team of doctors and nurses sent to assist in the aftermath of the storm. “I also informed her that, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we will donate ultrasound devices to enable rapid medical intervention in hospitals,” Saar said.

Saar emphasized that Israel will continue to support countries facing emergencies and share its expertise, adding: “Israel and Jamaica have long-standing relations, and we will continue to stand with Jamaica during this difficult time.”
