Rome, October 16 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that Italy has always believed that food is a universal human right.
Prime Minister Meloni expressed her satisfaction at participating in the FAO World Food Forum on the occasion of World Food Day and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.
Meloni emphasized that Italy has always believed that food is a universal human right, adding: “The Pope reminded us today that achieving the goal of ‘Zero Hunger’ is only possible through genuine will.”
She added that Italy is proud to reaffirm its commitment to strengthening food sovereignty in Africa through the Mattei Plan, which combines public efforts with private investments in equal partnerships with African nations.
