Metsola: Journalists face indescribable threats every day
Brussels, May 3 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola made a statement on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, May 3.
President Metsola stated that journalists face indescribable threats every day.
She noted that the Media Freedom Act and the Anti-SLAPP Directive have introduced changes, adding: “But more needs to be done. Laws must be enforced. Journalists must be protected. Democracy must be safeguarded.”
