The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed satisfaction with the Republic of Singapore's announcement of its readiness to recognize the State of Palestine.

This statement came from Kevin Cheok, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia and the Pacific at Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who also emphasized his country’s continued support for the rights of the Palestinian people in their homeland. He further noted that Singapore is ready to contribute to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and to provide additional medical assistance.

The Ministry reiterated its call on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to do so immediately, in order to preserve the two-state solution, act in accordance with international law and legitimacy resolutions, and contribute to peace by supporting a political resolution to the conflict.
