Major currencies showed mixed performance during trading in the global foreign exchange markets.

The euro/US dollar exchange rate rose 0.02 percent to 1.1413, while the US dollar/Japanese yen pair gained 0.22 percent to trade at 162.33. Meanwhile, the British pound/US dollar pair edged down 0.01 percent to 1.3351.

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate increased 0.05 percent to 46.8530, while the US dollar/Swiss franc pair rose 0.07 percent to 0.8084. In contrast, the US dollar/Canadian dollar pair fell 0.08 percent to 1.4188.

Among other currency pairs, the euro/Japanese yen gained 0.16 percent to 185.28, the Australian dollar/US dollar rose 0.20 percent to 0.6941, and the New Zealand dollar/US dollar advanced 0.58 percent to 0.5712. The euro/British pound pair also climbed 0.04 percent to 0.8547.
