Podgorica, July 23 (Hibya) - Montenegro President Jakov Milatovic received German Ambassador to Montenegro Peter Felten, whose diplomatic term has come to an end, on a farewell visit.

Milatovic thanked Felten for his contributions to strengthening the friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
In a statement shared on social media, Milatovic stressed that Germany is one of Montenegro's most important European partners and one of its strongest allies in the country's European Union accession process.
Milatovic said that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's visit to Montenegro and his participation in the European Union–Western Balkans Summit held in Tivat once again demonstrated Berlin's support for Montenegro's European future.
He stated that Montenegro aims to further deepen its political and economic cooperation with Germany and will continue joint efforts to create new investment and development opportunities.
President Milatovic wished Ambassador Peter Felten success in the next stage of his career and thanked him for his friendship and contributions to Montenegro.
