Need for clean water and medical supplies continues in Gaza
Ramallah, 22 February (Hibya) – Despite the ceasefire decision, the holy month of Ramadan began in the Gaza Strip under harsh conditions for hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians suffering from shortages of food, clean water and medical supplies.
According to CCTV, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza remains severe despite the start of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims.
Despite the ceasefire, hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians are struggling to survive due to the critical shortage of basic necessities such as food, clean water and medical supplies.
For many families in Gaza, Ramadan began in fragile tents instead of the warmth of their homes. Raed Hajjaj, who lives in a tent with his family, said that obtaining food has become a daily concern.
Raghdah Hajjaj said, “Ramadan has arrived; I swear that tonight we shared half a box of cheese and some fava beans with my children. We divided the cheese among us so that we could all eat something. We are grateful even for this situation.”
