Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement regarding the fallen soldier and his family.

Netanyahu said, "We extend our condolences to the family of Staff Sergeant Guy Ludar, a Maglan unit fighter who fell in a tragic incident in southern Lebanon."

Expressing his support for the family and loved ones, Prime Minister Netanyahu concluded his statement with the words: "My wife and I extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the late Guy, who fought with courage and heroism to protect our communities and citizens. May his memory be blessed."
