Oil rises while natural gas declines in energy markets
Istanbul, July 17 (Hibya) - Oil prices moved higher in energy markets, while natural gas and carbon emission contracts declined. Refined products posted limited gains.
Major commodities traded in energy markets showed a mixed performance.
Brent crude oil rose 0.66 percent to $84.79 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude increased 0.81 percent to $79.59.
London Gasoil futures climbed 0.48 percent to $1,181.49, while heating oil futures also posted modest gains. RBOB gasoline futures traded around 3.3162, up approximately 0.95 percent.
Meanwhile, natural gas prices fell 0.86 percent to 2.869, while carbon emission contracts declined 2.43 percent to 79.19.
