Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic spoke about investments in the region at an event held in Split as part of Split-Dalmatia County Day.

Plenkovic said the region’s revenues had increased by 65 million euros compared with 2017, rising by 260 percent, while the number of insured people had reached 194,000 and the average salary had increased from 700 euros in 2016 to 1,497 euros.

Plenkovic said that in the transport sector, the Kozjak Tunnel had been opened, the Vucevica interchange and Mravince-Stobrec-Dugi Rat-Omis expressway projects were continuing, and 570 million euros had been invested in educational infrastructure.

Plenkovic also described the construction of the new Split Clinical Hospital Center (KBC Split) as an important project and said investments in culture, sports, waste management and tourism were continuing.
