Polish Prime Minister Tusk: Europe is the United States’ closest ally
Prague, 6 December (Hibya) – Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized the importance of transatlantic cooperation for security in his message to the United States.
Prime Minister Tusk, in a statement on social media, highlighted the significance of the alliance between Europe and the United States. Addressing Washington, he stated that Europe is not a problem for the U.S., but its closest ally.
Tusk noted that for the past 80 years Europe and the U.S. have stood on the same side against common enemies, stressing that maintaining this solidarity is “the only reasonable strategy for joint security.” He added, “Unless there is a reason otherwise, it should continue this way,” calling for unity in transatlantic relations.
