Prevot: Belgium continues to stand in solidarity with Romania
Brussels, July 26 (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot said that following the downing of unmanned aerial vehicles over Romania, Belgium stands with Romania and will continue its solidarity with its NATO allies.
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot issued a statement regarding the unmanned aerial vehicles that were shot down in Romania in recent days.
Prevot said that Romania's investigation had determined that one of the downed aircraft was a Russian-made Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicle.
Reaffirming Belgium's solidarity with Romania, Prevot recalled that around 300 Belgian soldiers are stationed in Romania as part of a NATO battlegroup.
Prevot added that Belgium would continue to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity together with its NATO and European Union allies.
