Russian President Putin met in Vladivostok with Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of China.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, bilateral relations between Russia and China and issues of economic cooperation were discussed.

Putin said trade between the two countries has exceeded 200 billion dollars for the past three years and reached approximately 240 billion dollars in 2025. Putin also said mutual investment is increasing and cooperation in the energy sector is deepening.

The meeting also addressed the work of intergovernmental commissions on investment and energy cooperation. Ding Xuexiang said the Chinese side was ready to continue participating in cooperation aimed at developing Russia’s Far East.

Ding Xuexiang also said China was ready to work with the Russian side to implement the agreements reached during the meeting between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit held in Bishkek on August 31.
