Putin said Moscow is the best place to meet with Zelensky
Moscow, September 5 (Hibya) - Russian President Vladimir Putin described Moscow as the best place for a possible meeting with Vladimir Zelensky.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin said: “Next time, if someone really wants to meet with us, we are ready. The best place for this is the capital of the Russian Federation, the hero city of Moscow.”
He also emphasized that Russia is ready to provide security guarantees to Zelensky and Kyiv representatives if they come to the Russian capital.
The Russian leader also considered excessive the calls from Kyiv to hold the meeting at venues proposed by them.
Earlier, at a press conference following his visit to China, Putin said he was ready to invite Zelensky to Moscow if he was ready for a meeting. However, Zelensky rejected the Russian President’s proposal at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The 10th Eastern Economic Forum is being held in Vladivostok from September 3-6. The main theme of the EEF is “The Far East: Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.” The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation.
