Tajani held a phone call with IAEA Director Grossi
Rome, September 5 (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani held a phone conversation with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Mariano Grossi.
Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tajani announced that he had spoken with IAEA Director Rafael Mariano Grossi.
Tajani reiterated that Italy fully supports the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency in ensuring global nuclear safety, stating: “It is vital that Iran continues full cooperation with the Agency, including access to facilities, and Italy is ready to facilitate this dialogue.”
Tajani also noted that they discussed the issue of Ukraine, adding: “Kyiv must be involved in the discussions on nuclear safety in the country: Zaporizhzhia can serve as a model for negotiations that we hope will lead to peace.”
