Qatar and Italy discussed regional security and de-escalation efforts
Rome, May 20 (Hibya) - The State of Qatar and the Italian Republic held high-level talks focusing on bilateral cooperation and regional security issues.
During the talks held in Rome, efforts to preserve the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and to reduce tensions in the Middle East were discussed.
Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi met with Italian officials in Rome.
Representing Italy at the meetings were Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Maria Tripodi, Chair of the Chamber of Deputies Foreign Affairs and European Union Committee Giulio Tremonti, and Head of the Italian Parliament Gulf Countries Parliamentary Friendship Group Salvatore Caiata.
