Qatar and the UAE discuss regional developments
Doha, July 11 (Hibya) - Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a phone call with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held a phone conversation with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation, as well as the latest developments in the region. They also reviewed diplomatic initiatives and joint coordination efforts aimed particularly at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability.
The statement noted that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy. He also emphasized that implementing the agreements reached under the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, along with ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, is essential for regional security, preserving existing achievements, and strengthening stability.
The statement reaffirmed Qatar's support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would establish lasting peace in the region.
