Qatar Foreign Ministry: Ending poverty is the path to a dignified life and peace
Doha, October 17 (Hibya) - Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the connection between combating poverty, human dignity and peace in a statement marking the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on October 17.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that eradicating poverty is a path toward human dignity and peace.
The ministry's statement said that the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed by the United Nations on October 17, is rooted in the Doha Political Declaration, one of the outcomes of the Second World Summit for Social Development hosted by Qatar.
