Qatari Foreign Minister Al Thani meets with Turkish counterpart Fidan
Doha, July 19 (Hibya) – Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan.
According to a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who is visiting Doha.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and explored ways to strengthen and further develop these ties.
The meeting also addressed regional developments, diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions in the region, and joint coordination efforts to promote security and stability. The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy in order to preserve regional stability.
In this context, the role of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which also includes ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, was emphasized as an important factor for regional security.
