Trump holds phone call with Chinese President Xi
Washington, February 4 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump said that his phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping was “excellent.”
U.S. President Donald Trump shared details of the long and comprehensive phone call he held with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Referring to the broad agenda discussed during the call, Trump said: “We discussed many important issues such as trade, the military, my trip to China in April, Taiwan, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the current situation with Iran. Additional purchases of agricultural products were also reviewed, including China’s decision to increase soybean purchases from the U.S. to 20 million tons this season and a commitment of 25 million tons for the next season, as well as purchases of oil and natural gas.”
Trump noted that aircraft engine deliveries were also on the agenda, adding: “Our relationship with China and my personal relationship with President Xi are extremely good. We both understand how important it is for this to remain so.”
Trump concluded his statement by saying: “I believe that many positive outcomes will be achieved over the next three years of my presidency.”
