After the Munich Security Conference, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio traveled to Budapest on Monday.

There, he met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and praised his relationship with Donald Trump.

Rubio said, “The Prime Minister and the President have a very, very close personal and working relationship.”

Marco Rubio described this relationship as “important and vital.”

“President Trump is deeply committed to your success because your success is our success,” he said.

While it is known that there is a clear line of conflict between Orban and some other EU leaders, the meeting between Rubio and Orban may cause discomfort among other European leaders.

The U.S. administration has also frequently expressed its desire to strengthen parties whose political messages are consistent with its own.
