Saar: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards are now massacring their own people
Jerusalem, January 12 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar criticized the European Union (EU) for not listing Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar criticized the European Union’s stance on human rights violations in Iran and regional security threats.
Pointing to the contradiction between the EU’s values and its actions, Saar said: “Despite its professed commitment to the values of democracy, freedom and peace, the European Union has for a very long time avoided designating Iran’s Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.”
Referring to the methods of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and their intervention against civilian protests, Minister Saar stated: “Today, using the same brutal methods with which they spread terror across the Middle East and the world, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards are ruthlessly suppressing the Iranian people’s protests and struggle for freedom. They are now massacring their own people.”
Saar called on the European Union to take concrete steps, concluding his statement with the words: “When will you act?”
