Saar: The Western world must act together
Jerusalem, May 18 (Hibya)- Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that he held a meeting with European People’s Party (EPP) President Manfred Weber.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar referred in his statement to the negotiations conducted with Lebanon and Iran, warning against the approaches of some European governments that harm the European Union and the Transatlantic Alliance.
Providing information about the meeting and the briefing process, Saar said, “I met with European People’s Party President Manfred Weber. I informed him about the direct negotiations we are conducting with Iran and the Lebanese government.”
Sharing his criticism of certain policies within Europe, Saar stated, “I explained the attempt by some hostile governments in Europe to push the EU toward a radical, anti-Israel approach. This contradicts Europe’s own interests. The same hostile governments are also harming the Transatlantic Alliance.”
Emphasizing the importance of the Western alliance, Saar concluded his remarks by saying, “The Western world must act together.”
