Madrid, February 28 (Hibya) - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that they reject the unilateral military action by the US and Israel, while also condemning the actions of the Iranian regime and the Revolutionary Guards.
Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez said they reject the unilateral military action by the US and Israel, stating that this action escalates tensions and contributes to a more uncertain and hostile international order.
Sanchez also condemned the actions of the Iranian regime and the Revolutionary Guards, stating that they can no longer tolerate a long and destructive war in the Middle East.
Sanchez emphasized that they demand immediate de-escalation and full respect for international law, adding: “It is time to restart dialogue and reach a lasting political solution for the region.”
Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, announced that he discussed the situation in the Middle East with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Albares said the attacks must stop, adding, “Spain demands respect for international law, de-escalation, and dialogue. I conveyed to them Spain's firm commitment to regional stability and peace, as well as our solidarity and support for those attacked; we condemn these attacks.”
