Schoof discussed the situation in Gaza with Egyptian President el-Sisi
Amsterdam, August 1 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof held a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi regarding the situation in Gaza.
Prime Minister Schoof stated that he called President el-Sisi to discuss the situation in Gaza.
He expressed gratitude for Egypt's substantial aid to the suffering people of Gaza and emphasized the importance of ensuring this aid reaches the people of Gaza.
Schoof added that the conversation also addressed Egypt’s determination to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas as the only path to lasting peace based on a two-state solution. “This requires an end to all violence and the release of all hostages by Hamas. The Netherlands and Egypt agree that Hamas has no place in Gaza’s future,” he said.
