Ramallah, July 14 (Hibya) - Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Shahin met with Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas and local representatives.

According to a statement issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Shahin stressed during the meeting the importance of presenting a unified national position in international forums to strengthen political and legal efforts aimed at ensuring Israel is held accountable under international law.
The meeting also addressed the ministry's efforts to develop international partnerships with friendly countries, cities, and institutions. These initiatives aim to promote local development, investment, the empowerment of youth and women, and increased cultural and academic cooperation.
Minister Shahin stated that diplomatic efforts are continuing to strengthen international opposition to Israeli settlements, raise international awareness of settler attacks, and promote the implementation of international law, reiterating the Palestinian position that the settlements are illegal under international law.
Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas said that settler attacks and Israeli military operations in the city are continuing, calling on the international community to take stronger measures to halt settlement activities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue coordination among Palestinian institutions and to pursue diplomatic efforts with determination in order to keep the Palestinian issue at the forefront of the international agenda.
