Spajic: Montenegro’s EU membership will strengthen the European perspective of the entire region
Podgorica, September 8 (Hibya) – Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said during his meeting with Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Secretary General Amer Kapetanovic that Montenegro’s membership in the European Union would make an important contribution to the region’s integration process.
Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajic met with RCC Secretary General Amer Kapetanovic ahead of the Leaders’ Summit to be hosted by Montenegro and discussed the Berlin Process and the outcomes of the rotating presidency.
Referring to Montenegro’s EU integration and regional relations, Spajic said: “Montenegro’s membership in the EU will strengthen the European perspective of the entire region, and good-neighborly cooperation will remain one of our priorities.”
Spajic said regional dynamics and the progress achieved were assessed during the meeting, adding: “We agree that Montenegro has done a great job in recent months.”
Emphasizing economic development and joint action, Spajic said: “Through this and other models of cooperation, we are determined to create more opportunities for economic growth for the benefit of our citizens and to develop regional cooperation together.”
