Starmer: To revive the two-state solution, the UK recognizes the State of Palestine
Istanbul, September 21 (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the United Kingdom has officially recognized the State of Palestine to keep alive the prospect of peace and the two-state solution.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said: “In the face of mounting horror in the Middle East, we are taking action to keep alive the possibility of peace and the two-state solution. This means a safe and secure Israel and a viable Palestinian state – right now, we have neither,” and added:
“That is why today, to revive hope for peace and the two-state solution, as Prime Minister of this great country I clearly state that the United Kingdom officially recognizes the State of Palestine.”
