Sybiha: Odesa was hit by one of Russia’s heaviest attacks
Kyiv, December 13 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Russia is showing no will to end the war by carrying out large-scale missile attacks targeting Odesa and many other regions.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the Black Sea coastal city of Odesa was hit by one of Russia’s heaviest attacks in recent times.
Sybiha said, “The beautiful port city of Odesa on the Black Sea coast was hit last night by one of Russia’s most horrific attacks. Missiles and drones targeted critical infrastructure, energy facilities, and civilians.”
Emphasizing that the attacks were not limited to Odesa, Sybiha noted that the regions of Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv were also targeted, and that power outages are still ongoing in many settlements.
Drawing attention to the intensity of Russia’s attacks, Sybiha said, “450 attack drones and 30 missiles of various types; this is Russia’s real desire to end the war.”
Sybiha said these attacks show that partner countries should not delay important decisions, adding, “These are nearly five hundred arguments for our partners not to postpone critical decisions—especially increasing sanctions against Russia, providing additional defense and energy resilience support to Ukraine, and the War Reparations Loan.”
Stressing that these steps will advance peace through strength, Sybiha said, “These measures will strengthen us both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table and must be taken as soon as possible.”
