Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani received Japanese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the Middle East and Africa Bureau, Kiyichi Iwamoto, in Damascus.

According to a statement by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and explored opportunities for cooperation in reconstruction and investment.

The two sides also exchanged views on Syria's reconstruction process and emphasized the importance of supporting the country's unity and stability.

The statement reaffirmed support for Syria's unity and stability.
