Syrian Foreign Ministry meets with UNHCR's new representative Allen
Damascus, July 9 (Hibya) - The Syrian Foreign Ministry announced that the accreditation process of Kevin James Allen, the new head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Syria, has been completed.
According to a statement issued by the Syrian Foreign Ministry, Director of the International Cooperation Department Qutaybah Kadish met with Kevin James Allen, the new head of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Office in Syria.
The statement said that Allen's accreditation documents required for his assignment in Syria were accepted during the meeting.
It added that the parties discussed steps to strengthen cooperation and coordination on humanitarian issues and considered supporting joint efforts aimed at addressing humanitarian needs.
