Tajani holds phone talks with Al Sani and Abdelatty
Rome, February 3 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani held phone talks with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani said he held phone conversations with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty in the context of possible talks between the United States and Iran.
Noting that he thanked Egypt and Qatar for their active roles, together with Türkiye, in encouraging dialogue between Washington and Tehran, Tajani stated:
“Italy will continue to strongly support negotiations. This mediation is essential to prevent further escalation and to pave the way for broader talks that can bring peace and stability to the region.”
