Trump: Artificial intelligence can be controlled by a strong president
Washington, September 14 (Hibya) - US President Donald Trump argued that the fundamental control mechanism artificial intelligence needs is a “strong and smart” president, stating that the administration has regulatory and punitive authority over artificial intelligence companies.
US President Trump shared his views on artificial intelligence technologies in a social media post.
Trump argued that the only control or “safeguard” artificial intelligence needs is “a strong and smart (high-IQ) president,” adding that the United States has one.
Trump said the administration has prevented artificial intelligence companies such as Anthropic from engaging in “bad or potentially bad” activities and would continue to do so.
Claiming that the administration has “tremendous criminal and regulatory power” over artificial intelligence companies, Trump also argued that a “conspiracy” is being carried out against artificial intelligence and data centers.
Trump said, “Whoever wins in artificial intelligence, wins,” stating that the United States continues to maintain its lead in artificial intelligence over China and other countries. Trump also warned “conspiracy theorists, traitors and leakers” in his post.
