Trump: High probability of a meeting with Putin and Zelensky
Washington, August 7 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump said there is a high probability of a meeting with Putin and Zelensky.
In a statement at the White House, President Trump said investigations into the attack on the military base are ongoing.
Trump said they are praying for the victims: “We hope the injured recover quickly. But we will never forget what happened. We will punish this terrible person.”
Trump stated that Apple will announce a $600 billion investment today. Highlights from Trump’s speech include:
“That’s $100 billion more than the original plan. This will be the largest investment Apple has ever made in America.
We are building the world’s largest smart glass factory in Kentucky.
For years, tech giants have manufactured abroad and exported to America. But under the Trump administration, we are doing everything we can to make the U.S. the best place for tech manufacturing.
Gas and fuel prices have dropped. They will drop further. Food prices are down. All prices are down – except stock prices.
We’re generating hundreds of billions of dollars in tariff revenue. We made deals with the EU and Japan. They’re paying us hundreds of billions. Many more countries are in negotiations.
We're just getting started. Our country will be wealthy. American companies like Apple are coming home. We want them to return, and we will treat them well.
Massive tariffs on semiconductors and chips are coming – nearly 100%. But if you manufacture in the U.S., or commit to it, there will be no tariffs.
It’s still a long road, but a meeting with Putin and Zelensky is very likely. I’m not saying anything definite. This person has let me down before, but we ended 5 wars. Also, Iran was two months away from nuclear capability – and we stopped it with massive destruction.
This is not my war. If I had been president four years ago, this war wouldn’t have happened. This is Biden’s war. It started on his watch. Nobody took territory from Trump. I’m here to stop death and war.
We’ve made great progress. You know India – one of China’s closest partners – now faces a 50% tariff on oil from Russia. I don’t know if that’s related, but today’s meetings were very constructive.”
