US President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the ongoing talks with Iran.

Trump said Iranian representatives have demanded compensation for damage inflicted on Iran during the military conflict over the past five months. Trump said the conflict took place to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, noting that the demand for compensation had not been raised in previous negotiations.

Trump said that following Iran's demand for compensation, he also demanded compensation from Iran for people who were killed or seriously injured by Iran.

The US President also said that compensation would be sought for the families of those who lost their lives in Iranian attacks in previous years, as well as for people killed during protests.

Trump announced that he had instructed his representatives to include the issue in all future negotiations.
