Zelensky: Ukraine's security capacity will be strengthened
Kyiv, August 10 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Zelensky said they have prepared a plan to strengthen the capacity of the National Security and Defense Council, announcing that emergency response, efforts to address the consequences of Russian attacks and preparations for winter will be accelerated.
Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that, following the report presented by Ihor Klymenko, he approved a plan to strengthen the country's security and defense capacity.
Zelensky said that in addition to coordinating processes in the security and defense sectors, the National Security and Defense Council should assess all elements related to the country's resilience in a more realistic manner.
He stated that efforts to respond to man-made emergencies, address the consequences of Russian attacks and prepare regions and local communities for winter conditions should be carried out more rapidly.
Zelensky said that he and Klymenko approved the necessary organizational and personnel decisions and also agreed to change the methods for setting the agenda at the National Security and Defense Council and staff meetings, as well as for monitoring the implementation of decisions.
He added that new measures have also been identified to achieve better results in cybersecurity, information resilience and countering Russia's information operations.
