US President Donald Trump described Anthony Constantino as a supporter of the America First movement and announced his full endorsement of his candidacy. Trump noted that Constantino is an entrepreneur, businessman and professional boxer, stating that the candidate had served his local community before running for office.

Trump described Constantino's opponent, Blake Gendebien, as a radical leftist and criticized his positions on tax policy, border security and sports. Trump alleged that Gendebien supports tax increases and favors an open-border policy, arguing that certain tax provisions would come to an end if Gendebien were elected.
