Trump: The trade deficit fell by 55 percent, the biggest drop in history
Washington, April 4 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump, evaluating the latest economic data, attributed the creation of 178 thousand new jobs as well as the 55 percent decline in the trade deficit to his tariff policy and declared that the threat of a nuclear Iran had ended.
U.S. President Donald Trump, in a statement posted on his social media account, spoke about the performance of the U.S. economy and foreign policy achievements.
Drawing attention to the improvement in employment and trade data, Trump said: “Yesterday, not only were the job numbers great, 178 thousand new jobs were created, but the trade deficit also fell by 55 percent, which is the biggest drop in history.”
Referring to his tariff policy, Trump said: “Thank you, Mr. Tariff.”
President Trump concluded his statement by saying: “On top of all that, we also got rid of nuclear Iran.”
